For over 15 years Mr. Galaviz has helped large companies develop global solutions in areas of government relations, public policy, and economic development. He advises companies and government agencies at the highest organizational levels in strategy, global business development, and project feasibility analysis. Jonathan is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on doing business in Asia-Pacific. Mr. Galaviz frequently appears on CNBC and other global media outlets as a sector expert in the areas of technology, travel and leisure, and airlines. Jonathan is Vice-Chairman (Non-Executive) of The Centech Group, Inc., a defense contracting firm located in the Washington DC area. He is also an Senior Advisor to StackStreet Media, a blogging platform for business and technology topics focused on Generation Y audience.

Mr. Galaviz serves as a Partner at Global Market Advisors (GMA). Some of his clients include firms such as the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Goldman Sachs (U.S. and Asia), CapitaLand, Deutsche Bank, Caesars Entertainment, Station Casinos (Fertitta Gaming), eSun/Lai Sun, Keppel Land (Singapore), Lend Lease (Australia) and several private equity / venture capital funds around the world.

Mr. Galaviz started his career in 1996 working at the U.S. Senate in Washington DC in the office of U.S. Senator Pete Domenici (R-New Mexico). From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Galaviz was employed in a variety management consulting roles at Spectra Corporation, Whittman-Hart and Mandalay Resort Group (now a part of MGM Resorts International). From 2002 to 2013 Mr. Galaviz was head of Galaviz & Company LLC (and affiliated firms such as Globalysis Ltd.) until it merged with GMA in 2014.

For most of 2011 Mr. Galaviz served as the Interim Head of Campus for the University of Nevada’s campus located in the Republic of Singapore. He was asked to manage the campus back to profitability while also enhancing its operational viability. The work at UNLV-Singapore was successful and was widely praised in media and academic circles.

Jonathan  currently serves as the President of The Economic Club of Las Vegas, a non-profit organization dedicated to non-political economic discussion. He is also a member of the National Association for Business Economics.

He holds an MBA from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford (England) and is a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute. He studied finance at the National University of Singapore’s School of Business as a foreign exchange student in 1997.
